COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT PROCESS
• Replace the accumulator or receiver drier. • Replace the expansion device (orifice tube, expansion valve or liquid line containing the orifice tube). • Replace the hose assemblies containing mufflers (these cannot be flushed). • Closed loop flushing of components not replaced must be done. • Catastrophic compressor failure requires the replacement of any parallel flow or serpentine style condenser. • Install an in-line suction or liquid line filter. • Use only approved R134a or R12 refrigerants. Blend or hydrocarbon refrigerants of any kind are unacceptable and will VOID all warranties. • Where a parallel flow condenser is used, the condenser must be replaced as it cannot be flushed or cleaned.
Failure to follow this process will void all compressor warranty claims. Documentation may be required.
WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS All OTR ™ Air Conditioning Components will be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year, unlimited mileage with the following exceptions: 1. Air Conditioning Compressors: Failure to follow the Compressor Replacement Process outlined above will void the warranty. 2. Warranty can be processed nationwide by any OTR distributor, regardless of where the product was initially purchased. Only OTR products will be processed for warranty. If a product is warrantable, only the product will be replaced. 3. Products rendered defective by misapplication, contamination, abuse, alteration or any change/adjustment are not warrantable. It is the user’s responsibility to determine the suitability of any product to their specific application. Any product disassembly voids all warranty. 4. There are no warranties or conditions beyond this document and no person is granted authorization to express or imply additional warranty or liability. Any warranties of merchantability or fitness for particular purpose are expressly disclaimed. The buyer’s sole remedy for a warranted product is replacement of product per conditions above. In no event shall OTR, its agents or employees be responsible for incidental or consequential damages nor negligence in any respect.
